Well , i have been thinking about upgrading my site and trying to come up with ideas...
I want to bring this to another level and the more and more i find myself beeing very passionned about what i do. So for 2010, expect upgrades, more pictures, more vision, different approach ... more EDGYNESSS.

I am working hard to bring this to my viewers and upcoming ones... feel free to leave any ideas and things that you havent seen in other blogs and that you would probably want to see on this one... i will do my best to bring it to you !!!

I have been in the blogosphere for only 3 months with this blog and i already feel family ... actually talking about family , you might see a little bit more of them as we travel along...

So i am taking this time to wish everyone of you happy holydays, spend quality time with your families and friends ( life is short ), i also came to realise that happyness is in the little things that you live in your everyday life : time spending with husband, talking different subjects, seeing my kids growing into beautiful human beeings....oh and there is fashion ... of course...

I think Denis Gagnon is my favorite montreal fashion designer, actually, i am pretty sure he is.

Denis Gagnon's approach to fashion is really different then the other designers in the area. I would call him the Rick Owens /Ann demeulemeester of montreal.
He has master the craft of working leathing and he brings such beautiful unique pieces that you wont be abble to find anywhere else.

For his spring/summer line he worked with Montreal stylist YSO (Siphay Southidara) and created a line for Aldo shoes , here are a few pieces :

So they lived in a small area where people are too interested in fashion and they were kind of outcast in their own neighborhood but they had a passion : FASHION and they had a goal : their own fashion line.

So i was browsing the stores this week, i ended up on that store called THIS AND THAT .
First thing that captivated my eye was the display window. The tones were in the black and mauve and the set was quite different then what usually see in the malls.

I stepped into the store and i was amazed to see the different accessories that will really go with my style... they go from modern women to biker chic chick !!!

One of the fiercest Quebec's celebrities. In the past 3 or 4 years, she had a lot to deal with : death of her significant other and battling cancer. But beyond she has find the strenght to go through it all. I think it could be due to her inner will to embrace life. Anyways , i just love her.

She is also the ambassador for Quebec magazine Clin d'oeil and she did a wonderful spread in the 'ROSE' issue ( dedicated to the disease that is cancer ). The magazine sold out in 4 days.

The store is located in the old port which is a quarter of montreal

with a srong old architecture dated from the french history.
It is one of the few store that would carry Rick Owens items and surely

exclusive on what they offer to their custumers. Actually there is a few sizes

of each item .

Personnally , i think the store is special because of its avant garde collections

and also because Brigitte (whom i had the pleasure to meet ) , the owner, is such

a nice and welcoming individual.

i need to go back there and get me some stuff and take pictures.

Her real name is Beatrice Martin. She is a young 19 years old quebecoise that has singing for a passion.

In 2007, she started writting her own songs.
Her music style is caracterised by her little voice which reminds of the one the voice of Charlotte Gainsbourg or Vanessa Paradis ( wife of Johny Depp ).

One of the aspect that also make her so special to me is her style, which is unique, punctuated with the tattoos that she carries with no shame.

So if you read about me , you then know that i am from this contry called Canada.
Wonderful contry , i should say , beautifull sightings, people, places to go and see.

Canada has 10 provinces and 2 territories and one of those provinces is Quebec.
What is particular about that province is that the main language is french and it has its own distinctive population mostly due to its composition .

The population of the province quebec was built from the immigration of the french from france and part from british. What makes Quebec so distinctive is that , quebec alltogether has a different culture, a different fashion, different music, different known creative minds.

As an exemple one of the well known product of quebec is Celine Dion.

Now, inside of the province , we have what we called the Montreal metropolitain area. Which is concentrate of a lot of the french speaking immigration from around the world, and the born quebequers.

Well , thats where i live.

In another perspective, i thought about bringing you into my world and show you a bit of the edgynesss of the montreal metropolitain area throughout my blog.

ps: it is freaking cold in winter, but you can still go skiing , skating.....

Ok .
I know my cam is not on point or i need to upgrade the way i take pictures, but its on the work !!!
Just wanted to show you a fashion trend that i certainly abused of, this summer : The jumpsuit....( * of course in black *)

So i bought this piece at Zara, and it made wonders for me ,( since i gave birth to my 2nd son in March ), it hides everything that i need it to hide ..... just perfect.

Also what i like about the jumpsuit is that you can dress it up with some pumps or ankle boots or dress it down with some gladiator flat.

I already changed my hair too.... i'll show you guys pretty soon ...

I had a brunch with the girls, yesterday, and of course, with all the subjects that there is to discuss in the whole wide world , we had to come to the weight subject !!!

which brings me to this : I NEED TO LOOSE WEIGHT !!!!

I dont know if you feel like me, but i like a curvaceous women but someway, somehow, the clothes just fall easier and in the right place on a lighter person..... no ????? ( is it that we have been brainwashed that way by the media, i dont know... ).

So i am on the works to loose about 40 pounds ... ( is that even possible $%&^%$^%^%^%@???

I can already hear it ... Women !!! what about beeing healthy and eating right ????

For some reason in my mind, the color of fashion is black.
My wardrobe is 90% black .

I remember as i was growing up ( beeing a tomboy on top of it ) my mother would always ask me to put something of another color. I always had trouble finding the right color for me , but as soon as i wore black, i felt secure somehow.

Black is the color of class, the color that makes you look slimmer, the passe-partout color. Can't go to wedding in white but you can go in black !!!

Curvatious fashion

So i was browsing through the internet and of course i landed on one of my favorite blogs out there : Bryan Boy.

As i was reading his blog, i fell on the post concerning Gemma Ward, beautiful supermodel that use to grace the runways not so long ago and that, it seems like, s is retiring from the hole fashion world.

First i have to applaud Bryan for saying that he wishes that there is more of those "real size" women and men on the runways.
Second i want to give a lemon prize to those newsmedia that misquoted his thoughts on the subject of Gemma Ward's new weight !!!

That beeing said, it brings me the oh so discussed subject of size 8, 10, 12 women on runways .

WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY WAITING FOR !!! There must be some billions dollars of money to do there !!! i simply dont understand why it hasnt been done yet !!! I know some fashion designers most have some creative ideas for those sizes . The agencies are also to be pointed out , there the ones that can put pressure on the Fashion Houses to take more of those "real size women".

I just dont get it !!! Must i say it again, these girls that have a passion for fashion are looking at the models, the celebrities, magazines and the only thing on their minds is to be that size 0.

I am all for that healthy weight, and more realistic fashion sizes....

( mind you, i need to loose some weight.... i'll show pictures soon)

I dont usually do to much of men's fashion , but this , right here, i had to mention !!!!

Besides the fact that i am totally sold out to Jay-z, and that i went to see his concert ( which by the way, was fantabulous, he gave the fans for more then their money ), i have to say that the man got " SWAG " . He actually personnafies it, he breathes , he smells, he walks, he talks swag !!! I totally understand Beyonce and where she is coming from .

Not only he brought hip hop to another level, from real street to the mass without loosing credibility, he also brought hip hop men's fashion to another level by the way he dresses. He switches from jeans and timbs to suit and tie with no effort .

When you see Jay-z in concert, you really feel his aura, his charisma and with him, you really understand that fashion transcends the simple way you dress, it is also the way you wear the clothes, the way your personna transpires through the clothes and he does just that .

Ever since this girl came into the scene, i just couldnt get enough of her. She represents the the rock , the punk, the fucked up attitude way before what we are witnessing nowadays.
She's is one of the underdogs and came before her time.
She also use to date that model Boyd Holbrook and they had a session of photos done by Ellen Von Unwerth that were STEAMY HOT ... so steamy , some i cant even post here !!!!!

Have you ever heard of Sir Panos Yiapanis ????

To me he is the most non credited stylist out there. As a matter of fact it is almost impossible to have proper biography on the man and barely a picture ( but no more thanks to JAKANDJIL ) . I have seen his work and it is unbelievable. He has such an unconventionnal approach to elegance while mixing military/punk rock/haute couture. He would be a must have for the japenese avantgardistes designers !!!
The designers that worked with : Rick owens, Chanel, Givenchy and even H&M.

I actually think her real name is Edgy !!!! and the rumors are that she also quite often say " .....edgy this....edgy that ..." . Well she pretty well succeeded at it and the new machine that the hole world know as Rihanna is a big machine . With her age , she has grown to be one of the fiercest fashion icon of the moment and she continues to amaze. This bich simply got it ...ha !!!

Do you know any other woman that could push the enveloppe that far ??? i dont think so .... it seems like an overnight success and it is obvious that fashion is very important to her !!! she was first signed to La Reid, then while writting songs for Akon , he noticed that she could sings so he convinced Interscope to sign her under his label and VOILA !!!!!

Some of her latest outfits are outrageous and out of this world ( she is famous for wearing bodysuit, fetish boots and big hats ) but i adore her for her sense of fashion and for beeing so fashion forward and it just seems that she is telling people that would be bold to ridicule her to : well , basically , go fuck yourself , poker face !!!

What better way to start this blog then with the Paris Fashion week spring and summer 2010 !!!!

10 facts about me:

1. I was born in montreal, quebec, canada so that would make me a Canadian but i surely can't avoid the fact that my parents are haitians borned and raised.

2. I never studied fashion, i am not a designer, i dont pretend to be an expert in that field. I guess its just a passion, i should say...

3. As i start this blog , i am currently in maternity leave ( 1 year ) after the birth of my second son. I have also been married now for 4 years.

4. People sometimes call me crazy , because of my personnality and my out of control style ( considering my age : 35 )

5. For some reason, i tend to think that the color of fashion is Black.

6. One of the reason i started this blog is that i want to show that you can be a bigger size and still look good and fashionable...... then again i bet u guys already knew that ...ah ha ...yah ! but dont get it twisted, you will also follow me in my journey of losing that extra weight i have .

7. I work in the government and i carry a uniform ( so much for fashion ).
